God may love him, but will he be able to control his mouth in the upcoming debate? He might be better off wearing a duct tape gag, nodding and gesticulating in a statesman-like manner while Palin impales herself on her own incoherent blather.
Still, this is dangerous ground:
"He's in a no-win situation," said Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., an Obama backer. "If he stretches out his knowledge and expounds on all the things he knows, he runs the risk of being patronizing. If he is circumspect and is short-winded and deferential, he runs the risk of being patronizing. If he says everything he knows and is tough, he runs the risk of being a bully." The Associated Press: Style and substance at stake for Biden, PalinAnd if he says something incredibly stupid, well, he runs the risk of being the same old Joe Biden - stand up and let everybody see you, Joe!

Speaking as someone who's always had a soft spot for Joe B.(would likely have voted for him if a primary he was in happened in my atate), I thought he did pretty well. (And so did all the polls...)
